Please be aware that if you adjust them incorrectly you will suffer engine damage, namely bent rods

Hi Guys. Just read this thread and could do with some advice please. I have a 97 850 T5 with a Rica 304 ECU upgrade and have just bought a manual boost controller (type r) and gauge (auto gauge). Can you tell me if it is safe/advisable to fit the controller as I have just read the info that came with the Rica upgrade and it says not to. I know nothing about this sort of thing to be honest and don't want to blow the car up. Also when I fit the gauge it shows on the installation diagram the t piece that comes with the gauge. Coming from this is a piece of pipe that connects to the gauge and one that says "manifold vacuum hose on car" but does not say anything on the other pipe. I have looked in the Haynes manual and it shows 3 pipes on the turbo: Yellow (pressure regulator hose), White (bypass valve hose and Red (turbo boost pressure hose). I am presuming I need to connect the t piece to the Red hose and back onto the turbo with an extra piece of hose ? Thanks Sharpey.
