Hello ! I made a quick search on this subject and couldn't find any relevant posts... I would like to know if it was possible in someway to extract only the music from a movie trailer (.mov). The music in LOTR2 trailer is just aweosme and I would love to use it to make my own trailers for fun :) Do you know if .mov use different signals for each audio tracks or everything is in one file and impossible to seperate? (I dont want the voices, of course...) Thank you

I'd be really surprised if any trailer, quicktime or other format, had the audio stored in such a way. You can extract the audio using Graphedit, and then possibly use cool edit or some other wav editor with some kind of a vocal removing plugin, but your results would decimate the original audio at best. hth,

Thats interesting - why is the CD $8 more than the Film ? I'd go for the film and then demux the end titles, swap the video for a slide show and burn to minidvd or make a compilation DVD

That song was arranged by Howard Shore, originally performed by Clint Mansell (of Requiem for a Dream fame) and the Kronos Quartet. I believe you can find a mix very similar to the trailer song (without the orchestra making it sound so big though :( ) on the soundtrack of Requiem for a Dream, entitled Lux Aeterna, I think its under the Winter portion of the CD, but I forget. Finding a copy of the actual performed Howard Shore arrangement legitimately may be challenging.
