Instagram Threads is here to take Twitter’s throne
Meta, the parent company of Instagram, recently released its new app called Instagram Threads, which is being touted as a potential rival to Twitter. Users can access Threads through the desktop version, iOS, and Android apps. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, welcomed new members to the service in a post, expressing his enthusiasm for the launch.
The rapid sign-up rate of over 10 million users within the first seven hours serves as a warning to Twitter, which has been dealing with technical issues and unpopular changes. Threads’ popularity indicates that it may pose a serious threat to Twitter’s dominance in the social media landscape.
